A Technology Primer for Business Folks

Agenda
- 20 minutes: High level overview of the current state of web
technologies. Learn to decifer jargon, hire the right CTO for your
business, cut through the hype and buzzwords.
- 15 minutes: Walk through a basic site technology project plan end-to-end. Bonus section on when to outsource and when not to.
- 10
minutes: Build great specs. How to create well thought-out specs and
getting the right kind of feedback on the product itself beforehand so
your tech build will be alot easier, especially if you're outsourcing.
- 5 minutes: Wrap-up, Q&A.

York City. Participants generally have less than ten years experience
and we especially welcome recent graduates who are just starting their
